Feeling Better

Feeling better today. Not eating as much as I usually do, but definitely more than yesterday. I went in for a full day of work and took a good bite out of my bug count. We are getting down to the wire. There’s only two more weeks of Alpha left.

Word from Jennifer is that Emily is being cranky about her new surroundings. This has gotten us a little worried about next week when Abby and Emily are going to be staying the whole week with my parents. We figure if she gets too fussy, Jennifer can always just drive up to Shreveport and be with the kids.

Jennifer hasn’t sent any pictures from the trip, yet. I won’t post anything until I get some fresh pictures.

The Plane Trip

The day started early at 4:00 a.m. We had to wake up the kids and get them into the car. Their plane took off at 6:50 a.m. I got them safely onto the plane and Jennifer called from Houston when they arrived. She reported that the girls did “okay” on the flight. They kept wanting to get out of their seat and playing with the person who was sitting behind them. Jennifer took the digital camera and will be sending pictures back from the trip that I will post here.

I haven’t been feeling well all day. I left work early and crashed on our sofa for several hours. I woke up in a cold sweat and I haven’t eaten anything all day. I will be going to bed early and hopefully it will pass in the morning.

The Day Before

Tomorrow is the day I’ve been dreading for about a month now. I have to take Jennifer and the girls to the airport for their trip to Texas. They will be gone for three weeks. Although I hate to see them go, I know it’s for the best. This time of year I work so much that I was only seeing them for a couple of hours in the morning. This way they get to see their grandparents who don’t get to see them that much. I know that they will have a fun time and will miss me. I will miss them too.

Emily

Emily is getting so much more interactive. In the morning, when I get my socks out she runs off to go get my shoes. When Jennifer tells her to “go get her shoes” she runs off and goes and gets them. After they are on, she runs off and turns off the two televisions and heads out to the garage, ready to get into the car.

Going on Vacation

Today Jennifer went to get her hair highlighted. She’s goes to the RDV Sportsplex which has a day care where she can drop off the kids. We lost another one of Emily’s pacifiers. They said that they would call if they found it, but Jennifer told them that they were about to go “on vacation” and not to bother. Abby perked up, “We are going on vacation?” not even knowing what that meant. “I want to go on vacation, Mommy,” she stated and she kept talking about going on vacation for the next hour.

Today’s picture is of a mess that Emily made yesterday morning.

Second Chair Arrives

Nana & Poppy’s gift for Emily arrived today. Abby got her chair a couple of weeks ago and Emily just received hers. Hopefully that will stop the fighting for the one chair.

Jennifer and the girls rode their bike today up to the shopping center right outside of our subdivision to get ice cream. Jennifer said that it was a good idea to ride the bike because it works off all the callories that you put on with the ice cream.

Lazy Sunday

We didn’t do much today. I had the day off from work and I stayed home with the girls while Jennifer went to teach children’s church. We did laundry and just hung around the house.

Today’s picture is from our trip to the Fun Spot. Emily couldn’t ride any of the rides as you can see from the sign over her shoulder.

Going to the “Chapel”

The day Jennifer and her parents have been dreading for a while happened today. Jeffrey, Jennifer’s brother, got married. The problem is that they don’t particularly like Jeffrey’s new bride’s religion. She’s a member of the Jehovah Witness and she dragged Jeff into her religion as well. Jennifer and her parents don’t share their beliefs and feel that the Jehovah Witness is a cult. It took quite a lot of courage for Jennifer’s parents and sister, Christina, to put that aside and go to the wedding today. Jennifer reported that everything went “okay”, but Jennifer’s parents said that they felt that they were being watched the entire time. The other strange thing was that there were around a hundred people at the wedding. Besides themselves and Jennifer’s sister, they only knew two other people. Who were all the other people. Queue Twilight Zone music.

Today’s picture is the last picture I have with the whole Musselman family from February 2003 when we were leaving Texas and driving to Florida right after Emily was born.

No Sleep

Got in late last night and then was woken up at 7:00 a.m. to the sound of Abby throwing up, so I didn’t get much sleep last night. It was a long day at work and I wasn’t very productive. Abby missed her last day of school today. I stayed with her in the morning while Jennifer went to a meeting at church.

Today Abby said that she wants a puppy. I asked her where she thought the puppy was going to live. She said, “a tree house”. I told her that we don’t have a tree house. So, she said, “in Florida”. I asked her where Grandma & Grandpa lives and she said, “in Texas”. Finally I asked her where Nanna & Poppy live and she said, “in a hotel”.
