This past week Emily received an invitation to the senior graduation ceremony because she won an award. We couldn’t figure out what it could be and thought it weird that she would be attending the senior’s graduation. We found it today. She received the Citizenship Award. “In recognition of exemplary behavior and a positive attitude towards classmates, teachers, and the school community at Pace Brantley School.”
It’s finally here. Abby graduates from high school today! I’m so proud of Abby. I remember the day when she was getting on the bus the first day of Kindergarten. The graduation ceremony took place on the campus of the University of Central Florida at the basketball arena. After speeches from the principal, the two salutatorians, and the valedictorian, all 600 students including Abby walked across the stage. Finally balloons dropped upon the newly graduated students.
In honor of Abby graduating this week, we invited her, her boyfriend, Kaleb, and her sisters out to eat at Chuy’s.
Tonight was Abby’s water polo awards banquet. I know it was bittersweet for her. She’s really enjoyed the playing water polo these past three years and she’s sad to see it be over. Her team really appreciated her and she won two awards tonight: Lionhearted and Coach’s Choice.
