During the big move, while we were staying at Jennifer’s sister’s house, Jennifer’s parents, grand parents, and brother came over to visit with us. We had dinner and took pictures of the entire family.

French Family Visit
On the weekend before we were to leave for Orlando, almost the entire side of the French family came to visit us: Nanna, Poppy, MaMaw, PaPaw, Marci, Chuck, Kevin, and Kristi. Everyone had a great time seeing Emily for the first time and playing with Abby. It was great to see everyone before we headed to Florida.
Emily Goes Home
On Thursday, Jennifer and Emily were released from the hospital and we made our way home. Abby was happy to have her “baby sister” home.
Abby Meets Emily
Abby traveled up to the hospital to go visit her new sister. She pretty much ignored her and roamed around the room doing her own thing. At one point she was being introduced to Emily and she started crying. Abby just got wide-eyed and started to back away. Today, she was very excited. She kept saying that she wanted to “go see sister”.
Emily’s Birthday
On January 7th, 2003, at 1:11 p.m. Emily Grace French was born. She was 7 lbs. 2 oz and 19 3/4″ long. Both mom and baby are doing fine.
It’s a Girl
We went to the doctor today and found out that Abby is going to have a little sister. We are very excited to be having another girl. I’m sure Abby is thrilled as well. The big debate on names has begun.
New Site
Welcome to the new French Family site. This is an overhaul of our old site which only displayed pictures of our daughter, Abby. We’ve expanded it to keep all of our family and friends up to date on what is going on.
The main reason for the overhaul is the major event of us moving from our home in Austin, Texas to Orlando, Florida. Since we will be even further away from our friends and family, I decided that we would create a web site which would keep everyone up to date on what it going on in our lives. There are two major events that are going on.
First, we are expecting another child in January. Currently we do not know if the new baby is a boy or a girl, but we return to the OB on October 29th to have another ultrasound. Keep looking back here for more updates about the new baby.
Second, my company, Electronic Arts – Tiburon, is relocating us to Orlando, Florida. It’s not very good timing with the new baby and all, but Jennifer and I both feel that it is the right move for job security reasons.
Well, hope you enjoy the new site. We will be updating this site much more often than the old one and we will be soon spicing it up with new pictures.
