This year Abby wanted to ice skate for her birthday, so they had it at Winter Park’s Winter in the Park ice skating rink.

Afternoon in the Park
Spent a little time exploring the lake-side park. Or, as Abby put it, “Visiting Lake Monroe. Family time lol #sisterswag ^_^”
Double Reed Workshop Concert
Abby’s Workshop ended in a concert this afternoon. Unlike yesterday, this was a full band, but still only made up of double-reed instruments. 
Abby’s Double Reed Workshop
Abby has spent the week at Stetson University working on being a better oboe player. She’s attending a Double Reed Workshop and today she had a recital. She played with a group of 7 other oboe players and did a great job.

The Lego Movie
We spent the afternoon watching The Lego Movie. It was very cute and the girls loved it. I figured it would inspire Emily to go home and want to mess around with Legos. Nope. Just Logo Star Wars video game.
New Soccer League
While the rest of the United States is snowed in, it’s nice and sunny here in Florida. After two straight rain-outs, it was time for soccer once again. Emily started up a new soccer league this season. They ended up with a loss today, but it was a good game. This league is much more fast pace than The Y. It’s mixed with girls & boys playing on the same team. Emily’s team, the English Bulldogs, are an all-girl team. It was nice and sunny and a great time for soccer.
After soccer, Izzy went and sold Girl Scout cookies. I bought 3 more boxes having almost finished off the 5 others we bought.
Marching in the MLK Day Parade
Up early for Abby to march in the MLK Day with her band. Oboes usually doesn’t march, so she was holding the banner. They walked from Oviedo High all the way down the main street in Oviedo to her middle school.
One Busy Girl
From swimming one day to playing the oboe in a concert the next. Abby is one busy girl.
